BONNIE & CLYDE ON THE ROAD - SHOOTING MOOD SS24

If you've been following us for a while and you, too, are a fan of road trips to the four corners of the globe, we won't need to introduce you to Sophie Molesti, aka Bonnie on the Road.

In 2013, she met her sidekick: photographer David André. Partners in crime, they travel the roads several times a year by motorcycle to new horizons. And what better way to immerse yourself in the country than by living with the locals? (We warned you, we love roots).

With a car full of clothes to shoot in, steering wheel in one hand and camera in the other, David follows Sophie on the road as she tests motorcycles, each one more vintage and hot than the last.

Her spirit, her fun and her badass side made us want to follow her for a day, in the middle of racing cars, just like in her universe.

With his big beard, 3rd Line physique and tattoos, Jimmy is the perfect definition of the raw guy. A perfect match for the Freeman universe. And since Jimmy Launay is synonymous with a motorcycle, we couldn't pass up his wild and spicy look.

Jimmy left his contractor's hat in Bourges to join us in Toulouse for the shoot. When he's not out on his motorcycle or shooting, he can be found in conceptual restaurants (in 2018, he created a non-conformist coffeeshop combining the smell of coffee and the development of artists' projects, anyone?)

Conquered by his vibe? So are we ;)

And on the other side of the lens? We fell in love (no pun intended) with the style ofIndiana Anders. A photographer who captures freedom and the need to escape through campaigns centered on roadtrips, motorcycles and old cars? Needless to say, we got along just fine!

In just a few exchanges, we found the nuggets that would represent the brand for an atmospheric shoot. So let's get on set, guys!

No matter how meticulously we prepare everything, there's one parameter we just can't manage: the weather. After meeting up, we went straight to brainstorming to save the shoot from the Toulouse rain.

Sophie did us a favor by proposing several ultra-cool locations, starting with her very own cocoon: her house. When we got there, it was as if we were in the industrial version of Bali. And that's when we realized that we'd really had a flair for choosing our models. What's more, even her dog was a bit of a looker ;)

One place, two looks. Super chill for Jimmy: a sweatshirt and fleece shorts ensemble, which we worked up with a nice vintage effect. A close-up of his tattoos, and a big look around the house. The result is hot! For Sophie, it's cowboy boots and a hat for the western edge, and a patterned denim jacket and worn denim for the urban edge. A cool, casual mix.

First series: done, off to the Harley garage (Sophie's partner, no less). Here, we leave you to close your eyes and imagine what this nugget might look like. Vintage cars, badass motorcycles, American pickups. All just for us! It smelled of gasoline and the Freeman vibe.

Full Denim in the Garage. Striped wide-leg jeans, white long-sleeved henley and blue 100% cotton workwear jacket for Jimmy. Graphic T-shirt, worn denim jacket and checkered boyfriend jeans for Sophie. Caps and sunglasses for a vintage touch. Ready for a ride, baby!

The day ends around a pickup truck and a motorcycle, in keeping with our American origins. Sophie rocked our workwear jacket with patches, our favorite boyfriend denim, a leopard scarf in her hair and black leather platform boots. For Jimmy, a tailored shirt, white tee and khaki cargo pants. Simple but effective!

Sunset, vintage motorcycle and Asian-inspired patterned jacket on the back. We end the day in style with a series 100% in the Freeman vibe.

The shoot ended with a memory card full of nuggets. The team is a big fan of these atmospheres, and of putting our collection in situation. It's a great way to see our pieces in action! What do you think of these series?
